Lewis Hamilton is to be patron of M24. Seven-time Formula One World Champion, most influential figure of contemporary motorsport, Lewis Hamilton marks M24 with his stamp of approval.

<p><strong>M24</strong> opens on <strong>28 May</strong>. It is not just another museum. It is the place where motorsport tells its own story, to people who may know nothing of it. It is an exceptional collection of cars, objects, archives, and stories that come together to recreate a century of passion, innovation and courage. <strong>M24 embraces the whole spectrum of motorsport: Formula One, endurance, rallying, motorcycle racing, single-seater racing and more</strong>. The collection is composed of history-making cars, each in their discipline.</p>

<p>Among them is the <strong>Mercedes W09</strong> with which <strong>Lewis Hamilton</strong> won his fifth Formula One World Championship in 2018 &ndash; an outstanding race car, inextricably linked to the museum&rsquo;s patron. By accepting this role, Lewis Hamilton does more than lend his name: he represents the intentions of the museum to be a place for everyone &ndash; all audiences, of all sports, and all generations.</p>

After Rexy, Roxy and Spike, AO Racing has conjured up a new character for the 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans (10-14 June 2026). Rockie the Pegasus, a flamboyant winged horse, is set to defend the team’s LMP2 Pro/Am title in this year’s French endurance classic.

<p>Some cars are built simply to win. Others also tell a story. For several years now, <strong>AO Racing</strong> has transformed each of its appearances into a genuine visual and emotional adventure. The American team will be back for the <strong>94th 24 Hours of Le Mans</strong> with a new heroine: Rockie, a Pegasus with a look of steely determination, will adorn the <strong>#99 Oreca 07-Gibson</strong> entered in the LMP2 Pro/Am class.<strong> PJ Hyett, Dane Cameron and James Allen</strong> will share driving duties.</p>

<p>Some projects leave an indelible mark on the race paddocks and grandstands because they dare to be different. <strong>Rexy </strong>brought out the inner child within every&nbsp;endurance fan. <strong>Spike </strong>wrote the next chapter of the story and brought a smile to every face. But, as Le Mans always demands a little bit more, <strong>AO Racing </strong>has now opted to take flight.</p>

<h2>A Pegasus to defend the team&rsquo;s LMP2 Pro/Am title</h2>

<p>Rockie didn&rsquo;t just happen by chance. Her wings carry the heritage of a success that is still fresh in every onlooker&rsquo;s memory: AO by TF&rsquo;s LMP2 Pro/Am win at the <strong>2025 24 Hours of Le Mans</strong>. A race managed with the precision of a clockmaker and the raw energy of a group that refused to ease its grip in the dark of night.</p>

<p>The outfit&rsquo;s return to the Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans one year later is something of a homecoming. A home where nothing is ever taken for granted, however. <strong>At Le Mans, all the dials are reset to zero every year</strong>. Past achievements cannot be taken away but the track remembers no-one.</p>

<p>Rockie, the outcome of a collaborative effort between AO Racing and Mobil 1, was born with this fact in mind. With her great wings outstretched, her flamboyant red mane floating in the wind and a gaze that flirts with the untamed, Rockie the Pegasus is ready to spring out of the pits and fly down the <strong>Mulsanne Straight</strong>. An outline that is as much an invitation to travel as it is a symbol of speed.</p>

<h2>The 24 Hours of Le Mans &ndash; a playground of emotions</h2>

<p>What makes the world of AO Racing so special is not only its graphic identity. It&rsquo;s the way in which it creates a bond. In a discipline where technology plays a key role, the American outfit brings the human element to the fore. The characters become travelling companions. <strong>Fans follow their adventures as they would their favourite TV series</strong>.</p>

<p>And at Le Mans, this connection takes on another dimension as the public doesn&rsquo;t just come to watch a race. They come for an ethereal experience lasting several days. To sleep by the racetrack. To hear engines roaring into the night. To make friends with strangers from an adjacent campsite pitch during a stint beneath the stars. Rockie fits in seamlessly with this culture: <strong>a cocktail of full-blooded racing and a festival spirit</strong>.</p>

<p>AO by TF will take on <strong>the toughest LMP2 grid in international endurance </strong>with seasoned crews, finely tuned strategies and twenty-four hours capable of swallowing everything up in a matter of minutes. But the team also knows that at Le Mans, the energy transmitted by the crowds amassed around the circuit can sometimes act as a second engine.</p>

<p>Fans will once again be able to follow the event as it happens through the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/@aoracingusa" target="_blank"><u><strong>AO Racing YouTube channel</strong></u></a>, featuring an onboard stream, live team chat and exciting giveaways throughout the race.</p>

<p>Rockie has yet to fly her first mile. And yet she has already begun to do what the greatest Le Mans stories have always achieved: create expectation, <strong>stimulate the imagination</strong> and make a date with an entire trackside community.</p>

From 12-14 June, the Drive-In Paradiso by Peugeot set up by Peugeot and mk2 will enhance the Concert Fan Zone with an open-air cinema showcasing cult classic films and iconic cars in a true festival atmosphere. This attraction is a free, immersive experience that blends exciting pop culture and diehard motorsport fandom.

<p>From&nbsp;12-14 June, Peugeot and&nbsp;mk2 will present Drive-In Paradiso by Peugeot, a special&nbsp;open-air cinema in the heart of the Concert Fan Zone where you can&nbsp;view automotive film favourites in the luxury of iconic Peugeot cars!&nbsp;</p>

<h2>New&nbsp;drive-in Cinema&nbsp;</h2>

<p>The 24 Hours of Le Mans is not merely a race. It is a tapestry of images, sounds, constant adrenaline rushes and shared emotions that leaves its mark on every generation. With Drive-In Paradiso by Peugeot, this world of imagination converges with that of cinema in an experience designed to be a true event highlight.</p>

<p>Produced&nbsp;in collaboration with&nbsp;mk2, creator of the famous Cin&eacute;ma Paradiso festival, this giant&nbsp;drive-in will&nbsp;take&nbsp;up residence at the&nbsp;legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit for three days of excitement.</p>

<p>Certain&nbsp;screenings will take on an even more special element. A few lucky spectators will have the chance to watch <em>Taxi</em>&nbsp;from inside the emblematic&nbsp;white Peugeot 406 featured in <em>Taxi 2</em>. Others will take their seats in rare models from the Mus&eacute;e de L&rsquo;Aventure Peugeot and heritage collections, like a green Peugeot 204 sedan, a Peugeot 504 Heuliez leisure pickup&nbsp;or even a Peugeot 604 Ti limousine.</p>

From Scrutineering to the chequered flag, the M24 – Motorsport Museum immerses visitors in a magical experience at the heart of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, including F1 legends and era-defining innovations that have shaped racing history.

<h2>Committed to&nbsp;the cutting edge&nbsp;</h2>

<p>Upon entering the M24 &ndash; Motorsport Museum, visitors are taken on an&nbsp;authentic, &quot;24-hour&quot;&nbsp;adventure!</p>

<p>First on the agenda is&nbsp;Scrutineering, the legendary curtain-raiser to the main event&nbsp;the following weekend. These technical and administrative checks have&nbsp;traditionally been open to the public in the Le Mans city&nbsp;centre for&nbsp;fans to&nbsp;feel even closer to the race.</p>

<p>The second exhibition room is dedicated to the start. At precisely 16:00, competitors take off for a full 24 hours of intense racing. Visitors get to&nbsp;feel the critical instant adrenaline courses&nbsp;through the veins of drivers from every era. The start of the race is an extraordinary&nbsp;spectacle, as stunning as it is nerve-wracking, whether executed as a Le Mans-style start&nbsp;or a rolling one. This room aims to convey the full power of that very moment.</p>

<p>Note: Don&#39;t miss the&nbsp;exhibition dedicated to the Boll&eacute;e family.</p>

<p>Then, darkness begins to fall, ushering in a truly unique&nbsp;stretch of the race that sees drivers begin to feel&nbsp;the weight of fatigue after&nbsp;the opening hours.</p>

<p>Around the circuit, it&#39;s time for fans to grab a bite and&nbsp;take in&nbsp;the&nbsp;entertainment and festivities. Since its inception in&nbsp;1923, drivers and spectators alike are mesmerized by the allure of nighttime at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The M24 &ndash; Motorsport Museum offers the opportunity to experience all the emotions inherent in&nbsp;this unforgettable atmosphere, thanks to an extensive technological set-up and a masterful interplay of light and darkness.</p>

<h2>a glimpse into the&nbsp;M24 workshop</h2>

<p>Certain mechanics are in their element at night when competitors typically encounter their first troubles. As such, the next exhibition room is dedicated to the behind-the-scenes of&nbsp;pit lane&nbsp;and technologies in use. Thanks to the M24 workshop, visitors can appreciate and&nbsp;understand&nbsp;this all-important dimension of endurance racing. The workshop is also an opportunity to look back at&nbsp;major innovations tested at the always&nbsp;forward-thinking 24 Hours.</p>

<p>Next, the waving of the chequered flag and&nbsp;podium celebrations on Sunday at 16:00. The final room in this section of the museum is dedicated to making it over that line, and the mere&nbsp;seconds it has taken&nbsp;to&nbsp;change&nbsp;the destiny of thousands of competitors since 1923.</p>

<p>All of the above&nbsp;is accompanied by an extensive array of other features, like&nbsp;an interactive circuit and a materials library to&nbsp;allow visitors&nbsp;to touch replicas of steering wheels,&nbsp;gloves&nbsp;and many other items that are typically inaccessible.</p>

<h2>prime spot for&nbsp;Formula 1</h2>

<p>The remainder of the visit opens into the new addition,&nbsp;a must-see exhibit at&nbsp;the M24&nbsp;&mdash; Motorport Museum.&nbsp;Bathed in natural light, this space focuses on the multifaceted history of motorsport with the IndyCar and Can-Am championships&nbsp;taking&nbsp;center stage to represent the U.S.</p>

<p>Lastly, the spotlight transitions to Formula 1. A jaw-dropping&nbsp;variety of models, dating from the 1950s to present day, fill&nbsp;this immense 2,300 m&sup2; hall. The first F1 drivers&#39; championship dates back to 1950 and has since crowned countless racing giants. From the very beginning, the discipline&nbsp;has given a home to&nbsp;ingenious minds capable of creating ever-faster single-seaters, and only the top&nbsp;expert&nbsp;teams have prevailed, such as&nbsp;Ferrari, Lotus, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz and&nbsp;Williams.</p>

<p>Legends&nbsp;have&nbsp;made their mark on&nbsp;this championship, and many among&nbsp;them &mdash; Fernando Alonso, Juan Manuel Fangio, Jim Clark, and Phil Hill for example &mdash; have taken the start in the 24 Hours of Le Mans as well. This is the reason Formula 1 holds a prominent position at the very heart of the M24 &mdash; Motorsport Museum.</p>

<p>The immenseley popular rally&nbsp;and rally-raiding also&nbsp;have their place in this exquisite setting as well as two life-size dioramas (one dedicated to Formula 1, the other to endurance racing), so the impact of these disciplines and atmosphere of those eras can be appreciated&nbsp;down to the very last detail.</p>

<p>The M24&nbsp;&ndash; Motorsport Museum will open its doors to the public on Thursday 28 May.</p>

M24 – Motorsport Museum: must-see collections and so much more

The Automobile Club de l’Ouest is pleased to announce that Sir Mark Cavendish, who holds the record for the most Tour de France stages won (35), will wave the start of the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans, at 16:00 on Saturday 13 June.

<p>Emblematic figure of world sport, <strong>Sir Mark Cavendish rewrote cycling history</strong> as he put his name to one Tour de France stage after another &ndash;&shy; totalling 35 in all. Awarded Knight of the British Empire in 2024, the Manx Missile is particularly fond of France, having won many a sprint on its roads and inspired a generation of cyclists. The Tour de France and the 24 Hours of Le Mans have much in common. Both are monuments of world sport, both French, both household names all around the globe.</p>

<p>As official starter, Cavendish joins a list of great sportsmen who have paid the event the same honour. As a formidable competitor, he will be in excellent company on the starting grid this June.</p>

To mark the 94th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, in collaboration with Kappa, the event’s Official Outfitter, is unveiling the new official collection dedicated to the world’s greatest endurance race.

<p>Designed to extend the 24 Hours of Le Mans experience beyond the racetrack, this collection celebrates the legacy of motorsports, the identity of the major motorsport nations, and the unique world of endurance racing. It is organized around three complementary themes:&nbsp;<strong>TEAM KIT, FANWEAR, and HERITAGE</strong>.</p>

<h2>TEAM KIT &ndash; The official team gear</h2>

<p>Building on the success of previous editions, the TEAM KIT reflects the operational needs of the teams competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.</p>

<p>Developed to meet the demands of the track, this line combines functionality, comfort, and understated style in a design true to Kappa&rsquo;s technical DNA. A collection designed to support race participants in the most demanding conditions.</p>

<h2>FANWEAR &ndash; The spirit of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the great nations of motorsport</h2>

<p>The FANWEAR collection draws inspiration from racing culture and the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans through a reinterpretation of motorsport&rsquo;s iconic symbols.</p>

<p>Available in green, red, and blue, several styles pay homage to the historic colors of the great motorsport nations: the United Kingdom, Italy, and France. The pieces proudly bear the LE MANS logo and reflect enthusiasts&rsquo; passion for the world of endurance racing.</p>

<p>Through the EROI project (&ldquo;heroes&rdquo; in Italian), Kappa also highlights the concepts of belonging, collective passion, and sporting identity, in the spirit of the great communities that have kept the 24 Hours of Le Mans alive for over a century.</p>

<p>The FANWEAR collection also includes a more lifestyle-oriented capsule line, as well as two signature jerseys:</p>

<p>The launch of this collection is accompanied by an immersive photo and video campaign highlighting the intensity, aesthetics, and culture of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.</p>

<p>As part of its partnership with the 24 Hous of Le Mans, Kappa will also be present at the heart of the race village with an official boutique dedicated to this collection.</p>

Just a few weeks ahead of the 94th running of Le Mans (10-14 June), the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) is in full swing with BMW M Team WRT dominating the Hypercar standings as Porsche delivers consistency in LMGT3. The points system specific to the 24 Hours means the top prizes in each class are still up for grabs.

<p>The&nbsp;6 Hours of Imola and&nbsp;TotalEnergies 6 Hours of&nbsp;Spa-Francorchamps set the tone for what&#39;s to come at the 2026 24 Hours: every&nbsp;constructor firmly believes it can win Le Mans this year.</p>

<p>While Toyota Racing stood out&nbsp;at Imola demonstrating a perfect command of&nbsp;endurance racing, BMW M Team WRT responded with a resolute one-two punch at Spa-Francorchamps. The German carmaker&nbsp;is currently leading the FIA Endurance Hypercar Manufacturers Championship with&nbsp;59 points, just&nbsp;seven ahead of&nbsp;Toyota. Ferrari-AF Corse trails with&nbsp;42 points, but never underestimate the Italian marque&nbsp;at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.&nbsp;Last year, AF Corse&#39;s #83&nbsp;Ferrari 499P served&nbsp;Maranello a third win in a row, its 12th total.</p>

<p>BMW is heading into the season&#39;s main event&nbsp;with momentum, Toyota with&nbsp;experience and&nbsp;Ferrari fueled by the desire for a historic repeat. In their rearview for now are Aston Martin THOR Team and&nbsp;Alpine Endurance Team boasting 14 points each, while Peugeot TotalEnergies and&nbsp;Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA are still looking&nbsp;for the spark to transform&nbsp;their potential into top&nbsp;results.&nbsp;Lastly, Hypercar class rookie Genesis Magma Racing earned its first points in Belgium.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>The&nbsp;24 Hours of Le&nbsp;Mans is much more than winning</h2>

<p>At Le Mans, the winner is awarded not only a stunning trophy&nbsp;but&nbsp;a whopping&nbsp;50 points in the championship (instead of the standard&nbsp;25 for a six-hour race). Victory at the 24 Hours can turn the provisional WEC classification on its head in an instant.</p>

<p>To give you an idea of the race&#39;s impact, second place pulls in&nbsp;36 points and third earns 30, so the WEC season can change drastically in a single&nbsp;weekend. BMW M Team WRT knows it. Toyota Racing too. Ferrari-AF Corse better than anyone.</p>

<p>That&nbsp;changes everything in pit lane. The engineers know not to&nbsp;approach this race like a standard round because every detail counts double. Managing traffic becomes a tightrope walk. The slightest mechanical intervention&nbsp;is carried out with&nbsp;surgical precision. And the drivers understand&nbsp;in the early hours of the morning, when fatigue blurs their bearings,&nbsp;the championship can turn on a single braking maneuver.</p>

<h2>LMGT3 |&nbsp;Porsche on top with mcLaren and&nbsp;BMW hot on its heels</h2>

<p>There seems to be some score-settling on the menu&nbsp;in LMGT3. Last year, The Bend Manthey&#39;s #92&nbsp;Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3 claimed the top step on the class podium and the team&nbsp;is definitely fired up for a second consecutive win.</p>

<p>After finishing third at Imola and delivering a solid performance at&nbsp;Spa-Francorchamps, the #92&nbsp;Porsche snatched the lead in the FIA Endurance LMGT3 Teams Trophy with 30 points. But the pressure is on. The #10&nbsp;McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo of&nbsp;Garage 59, winner in Belgium, lags by only four points. Team WRT&#39;s #69 BMW M4 LMGT3 Evo, winner at Imola, also remains ideally&nbsp;positioned.</p>

<p>TF Sport&#39;s #33&nbsp;Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R follows with 22 points, while&nbsp;Vista AF Corse, The Heart of Racing and&nbsp;Akkodis ASP Team wait for the perfect&nbsp;moment to strike.</p>
