The 16th edition of collector track days a success at the Bugatti circuit

On March 3rd, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, with the support of the "Commission départementale ACO de la Sarthe," hosted the 16th edition of collector track days which allowed the owners of 110 beautiful cars to run on the Bugatti circuit in a friendly atmosphere.

This gathering is exclusive to ACO members who then have the opportunity to spend time in the paddocks, share impressions and anecdotes, and even ride as a passenger in a unique or collection car alongside its lucky owner.

As at the Le Mans Classic, vehicles are separated into grids, but this time according to weight and not their design date, and after the briefing, four 20-minute track sessions are offered throughout the day. By the end, participants are thrilled and have amassed countless photos full of unforgettable memories.

At the 16th edition, in addition to the collector's luncheon, coaching was made available with five renowned instructors: Jean-Bernard Bouvet, Christophe Tinseau (who both competed in the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans in the SRT41 team's Morgan with quad-amputee Frédéric Sausset), Vincent Capillaire (three participations in the 24 Hours), Patrice Gay and Marc Peraldi.

Also, Frédéric Sausset took the wheel of the Morgan specially designed to accommodate his handicap by Onroak Automotive for a 10-minute demonstration after his book signing.

Not yet a member of the ACO? Join the club which celebrated its 110th anniversary last year! The next edition of the collector track days will take place October 16, 2017.
