On the road to the Le Mans 24 Hours is a “tradition et elegance concours” for cars and their owners and pays a vibrant homage to racing enthusiasts and their machines.

The aim of this concours is to highlight the procession of vehicles that includes modern sports cars and/or collectors cars or ordinary family vehicles, sometimes decorated to reflect the glory of the event, the entrants or their favourite drivers, which heads for the Le Mans circuit every year.

Since the early days of the race endurance fans have traditionally put on a great show that can be seen on the roads, in car parks, picnic areas, etc, which arouses passion and admiration for the event.

Thanks to them spectators live to the beat of the Le Mans 24 Hours attending scrutineering, sharing meals with their doors wide open and following the information provided by the official commentators on the radio – and even managing to fit in a few hours of refreshing sleep!

In partnership with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest Manséa (the Association of Shopkeepers and Artisans in the Le Mans town centre), and the town of Le Mans have decided to create a new yearly rendezvous on the Tuesday of the Le Mans 24-Hours week. It will take place after the two days’ scrutineering and administrative checks in the town centre (Sunday and Monday before the race), and before official practice on Wednesday and Thursday and the Drivers’ Parade on Friday in the late afternoon.

This concours, On the road to the Le Mans 24 Hours, is open to all the cars of the fans of the event, which stand out because of their appearance, decoration or their equipment that helps their owners to experience the race with even greater intensity. These cars will be presented on the Quinconce des Jacobins and their owners can put them on display to show how they add to their enjoyment of the Le Mans 24 Hours. A jury of five experts will decide the three winners.

The winner of the competition will have a photo session with his/her car on the circuit to immortalise his/her passion for the greatest endurance race in the world, as well as two privileged entry tickets for the race and a gift voucher from Manséa. Prizes will also will also be awarded to the car owners in second and third place.

General enclosure ticket price: 56,25 euros (ACO members) 75 euros (non ACO members).

Free for young people born after 14th June 1999 accompanied by an adult.

Test day: Sunday 31st May 2015.

Scrutineering and administrative checks: Sunday 7th and Monday 8th June 2015.

Free practice and qualifying: Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th June 2015.

Start of the 83rd Le Mans 24 Hours: Saturday 13th June 2015 at 15h00.
