Full interactive service to keep in touch with the 24 Hours of Le Mans Test Day

The 24 Hours of Le Mans are almost upon us. After Test Day on Sunday 31 May, scrutineering will mark the official start of 24 Hours week in Le Mans, a moment that everyone is looking forward to. Here

The 83rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is just around the corner – here’s how to keep in touch with what’s happening. The first port of call for keeping up with the news, with background stories, interviews and the hottest topics of the moment, is our website 24h-lemans.com. A brand new homepage will be launched for the classic Le Mans race. A whole host of race information will be available at a glance such as live timing of the free practice sessions, qualifying and the race itself, a newsfeed, track conditions and a countdown to the end of the race. There will also be direct access to videos and photos from the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2015.

The social networks will also be buzzing with news to keep fans fully briefed with what’s going on. Visit our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/24heuresdumans) to keep up-to-date in real time with all activities in and around the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Click on the Instants Gagnants tab to see if you have won one of the 24 instant prizes up for grabs over the 24 days of the competition. Every participant will then be entered in the grand draw which will take place on 8 June. The winner will get a chance to brandish the green flag alongside the Race Director at the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans formation lap. ACO members will have an extra chance to win by entering their membership number. Again on Facebook, fans will be able to send photos taken during the run-up week to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. They will be posted in a special album.

Fans can also sign up to our official English or French Twitter account @24hoursoflemans or @24heuresdumans and follow our live text stream on @24Hours_live (or @24heures_Live for the French version) which will tweet instantly on the tests, the qualifiers and the race as the action happens.

During scrutineering on 7-8 June, all the drivers will pass in front of the Twitter Mirror for selfies which will then be posted on @24hoursoflemans. This year the operation will be extended to the public. Spectators can take their own selfies and receive their photo directly on their Twitter account.

To keep up to date with the overall classification of the race or the position of your favourite car, you can receive info on Twitter through the Live Score feature. Followers tweet @24heuresdumans + #24LMlive and in reply receive the general classification automatically.

To find the position of a particular car, all you have to do is tweet @24heuresdumans + #24LMlive followed by the car’s number. For example, to find out how the 2014 winners Tréluyer, Fässler and Lotterer are doing in the no. 7 Audi, tweet @24heuresdumans + #24LMlive7. Finally with the autograph session, followers can receive signed photos of the teams entered for the 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours.

This unique interactive service is supplemented by the Instagram account 24heuresdumans on which photos and short videos of the various events are broadcast live.

Finally, with the 24H LE MANS app, you can follow the race as it happens with access to the various classifications, a presentation of all the teams, videos and news. This free app can be downloaded for mobile phones (Android and Apple), tablets or computers and is now available in the App Store and on Google Play. But for full immersion, a Premium Pack (€9.99) called “Inside 24H” is also available. This pack offers subscribers live, full coverage of the tests and the race, with access to onboard cameras, and the possibility of following a particular car or driver.

As you can see – there is really no excuse for not keeping in touch with what’s going on at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2015 via the web!
