Club ACO – Meet our volunteers: Pascal Gilein in logistics

Once again, we train the spotlight on one of our volunteers as they gear up for the 24 Hours of Le Mans Centenary! Pascal Gilein assists with logistics in the Members’ areas. This year, he has even taken care of the trophy!

Pascal Gilein, a Le Mans native, was pretty much born with a love of the 24 Hours. He remembers his first visit to the circuit in 1965, then the years he spent watching the cars come out of the private garages in the 1970s.

He regularly renewed his Club ACO membership until he became a permanent member in 2016. In 2021, he spotted the Club’s call for volunteers at its events, and jumped at the opportunity! “I enjoy being part of the organisation and meeting like-minded enthusiasts. It’s really my idea of a club!”

For the last three years, he has been assigned to logistics in the Members’ areas, which means managing the left-luggage office, the photobox, phone recharging, fan packs, and so on. And this year, Pascal even helped put the Centenary Trophy in place before Scrutineering!
