Club ACO - Meet our volunteers: Antonia Robert, tour guide

Once again, we train the spotlight on one of our volunteers as they gear up for the 24 Hours of Le Mans Centenary! Antonia Robert is an ACO Member and a volunteer for the club. She leads guided tours at the Scrutineering sessions, place de la République in Le Mans city centre.

A Member of the club since 2004, Antonia is a volunteer at the local chapter. As she speaks three languages, she acts as a tour guide for fellow club Members during the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The club offers guided tours at Scrutineering and at the circuit during the race.

In previous years, she led the tours at the circuit. “You really take people behind the scenes. Members get to see the paddock, the pit building, the press room and so on.”

Last year, she began leading the tours at Scrutineering. She explains how the cars are checked, and exactly what comes under scrutiny!

What does she most enjoy about the role? “Just being a part of the event and meeting club members. Plus, we make a great team!” And her best memory of the race? “I had my photo taken with the winners in 2019. I was really proud of that because there aren’t many women volunteers and it’s great to increase our visibility.”
