Before becoming a constructor, Guy Ligier (1930-2015) was a driver who competed namely at the 24 Hours of Le Mans eight times. Here he is in this video back in 1966, for a lap of the circuit with an on-board camera.

We have completely reworked La Chapelle Club Facilities to improve the user experience. Members who come every year will certainly notice the difference!

<h3>New entrance, more space</h3>

The first very noticeable change is the entrance. It is no longer on the left. We have erected a new reception area down on the right beyond the Goodyear footbridge. The change makes a big difference to the space inside the suite, which is our aim: to give members more elbow room!

<h3>A trackside village square&nbsp;</h3>

The reception area leads on to a little square, with access to three distinct areas, depending on how you&rsquo;re feeling:

	<li>Le Comptoir: a covered bar-style area with places to sit and stand. Ideal for a quick break before you head back to the track.</li>
	<li>La Guinguette:&nbsp;a marquee with poseur tables and stools. The place to have a drink in a relaxed atmosphere.</li>
	<li>La Table:&nbsp;the restaurant. For when you want to take your time.</li>
</ul>

<h3>New areas that make all the difference</h3>

At the far end, the hillock is more spacious and less steep. You&rsquo;ll be able to sit comfortably with an unrivalled view of Tertre Rouge Corner. If you prefer to follow the live coverage, there&rsquo;s a lounge area with a big screen, and a quiet area for when the excitement gets too much!

<h3>What hasn&rsquo;t changed!</h3>

The main advantages of La Chapelle are still here: trackside access, and great views from the descent after the footbridge right up to Tertre Rouge. This is one of the circuit&rsquo;s most prized vantage points, and it&rsquo;s reserved for Club ACO members.

Club ACO – La Chapelle Club Facility redesigned for 2026

To celebrate the ACO’s 120th anniversary, Club ACO is hosting 24 Hours of Le Mans watch parties on Saturday Saturday 13 June in New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles. Local members can look forward to an immersive experience in a venue dedicated to motoring, with live race coverage, entertainment and expert commentary, all in a totally Le Mans-style spirit.

Attendees will be automatically entered for a prize draw to win two tickets to the <a href="https://www.fiawec.com/fr/race/lone-star-le-mans-2026" target="_blank">WEC Lone Star Le Mans</a>&nbsp;4&ndash;6 September, another star event on the WEC calendar.

Attendees have the whole venue at their disposal: screening room, piano lounge, library, terrace and billiard room from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 24 Hours of Le Mans live feed will be screened all day.

Drivers and endurance racing experts will be around to chat, or try your hand on a Le Mans simulator as you answer the quiz questions and sip a drink!

In Philadelphia, Club ACO has teamed up with the <a href="https://simeonemuseum.org/" target="_blank">Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum</a>&nbsp;to offer members a unique experience &ndash; watching the entire 24 Hours of Le Mans from start to finish.

ACO Members will have access to the Bugatti Room, a private lounge, from 9 a.m. on Saturday 13 June to 11 a.m. on Sunday 14 June.

Come along and watch the race, admire some of the cars that have taken part in the past, enjoy the museum&rsquo;s Demo Days to experience cars as living machines in motion, try your skills on a Le Mans simulator and take advantage of special ACO member rates.

The race will be screened in the Bruce Meyer gallery where you can also enjoy special exhibitions and learn about the history of the race.

Club ACO - Three 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans Watch Parties in the USA

Club ACO and Wake Paradise have come together to offer members a leisure activity not far from the circuit in Le Mans.

With warmer weather on the way, now&rsquo;s the time to cool off near the circuit!&nbsp;The aptly-named Wake Paradise in Spay is set in leafy grounds on the river Sarthe. Lounge under the palm trees by the lakeside beach, try the watersports on offer, play beach games or chat with friends over a relaxing drink. This place has everything you could wish for on a sunny day.

That year, for his third start at the 24 Hours, Guy Ligier was at the wheel of a Ford GT40 entered by the French subsidiary of the American manufacturer and shared with American driver Bob Grossman. In this video, he provides commentary during a lap of the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit, to the sounds of &nbsp;the huge V8 of an American icon: the Ford Mustang! Comments in French.&nbsp;
