120th anniversary of the first Grand Prix of the Automobile Club de France (72) 06/28

6/28/2026 - 6/28/2026

Come and discover or rediscover the historic route of the first ACF Grand Prix in 1906, and take part in the commemoration of the event organized by its Preservation Committee with the support of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest:

This legendary race, organized by Georges Durand, was the first closed-circuit motor race in France and served as the inspiration for the first 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1923 and, in the early 1950s, the first Formula 1 Grand Prix in 1950.

Join the 200 vintage vehicles (or pre-1987 vehicles) expected to take part, divided into groups, starting with the oldest.

Departure from Abbaye de l'Epau, Le Breil sur Merise (for a tribute to the driver BARAS), Bouloire, Saint Calais, Vibraye (lunch), Lamnay, Cherré, Les Sitelles, Champagné, passage on the 24-hour circuit (between the Porsche curve and the Red mound), arrival at the Marie Marvingt Stadium.

This event is organized in partnership with the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, the Automobile Club de France, the Sarthe Departmental Council, the Perche Sarthois, and various other partners.
