World Endurance Champions at this weekend's FIA prize-giving gala

The annual FIA prize-giving gala took place in Paris at the Carrousel du Louvre this past Friday evening. Here is a look at the endurance racing champions bestowed with awards at the ceremony.

Every year since 2011, at the closing of its general assembly, the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) awards the champions in various disciplines at the traditional prize-giving gala. This year, endurance racing was once again celebrated, with in attendance Automobile Club de l'Ouest president Pierre Fillon and FIA Endurance Commission president Richard Mille.

The three newly-crowned FIA Endurance LMP World Champions – Fernando Alonso, Kazuki Nakajima and Sébastien Buemi – pose with their trophies designed by American artist Frank Stella. The TS050 Hybrid with Japanese driver Kazuki Nakajima also had their moment on the stage during the FIA ceremony.

In the GT class, World Endurance Champion drivers Michael Christensen and Kevin Estre flank Porsche Motorsport vice president Fritz Enzinger.
