WEC – Where to watch the 6 Hours of Shanghai

If you’re an endurance fan but unable to trek all the way to China, don’t worry - there are several ways to keep up with track action at the 6 Hours of Shanghai, the fifth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) 2018-19 Super Season this Sunday.

European endurance enthusiasts will have to be up at the crack of dawn this Sunday because the flag will go down to start the 6 Hours of Shanghai (see WEC - The 2018 6 Hours of Shanghai) at 11 a.m. local time, which means 4 a.m. in France or 3 a.m. in the UK! At least they’ll be warm and dry at home, while rain is forecast at the track.

Several European TV channels will be broadcasting the full race live (in Belgium, Germany, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, the UK and Poland), including L’Equipe which will be showing it on freeview in France. However, given the time difference, you might prefer to watch on Eurosport Player or on-demand on motorsport.tv.

If you are on the go, you can watch the race on the FIA WEC app, which you can download for free (although there is a charge for live streaming) from the App Store or Google Play. You can also listen to the online commentary on radiolemans.com.
