Via this video, experience Porsche's 2017 World Endurance Championship (WEC) season. The German manufacturer won three six-hour rounds (Nürburgring, Mexico and Austin) as well as the 24 Hours of Le Mans (Brendon Hartley, Timo Bernhard and Earl Bamber, #2 Porsche 919 Hybrid).
This major competitor has decided to leave LMP1 behind with a singularly impressive track record: three world titles, three wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans since the inception of the WEC (2015, 2016, 2017), 17 victories in 34 races, seven one-twos, 20 pole positions and 13 best in-race laps.
Porsche will still participate in the LMGTE Pro and LMGTE AM classes in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). Still, we thank the German marque for all the stunning LMP1 action it gave us these past four years and for the remarkable battles on the track at the 24 Hours of Le Mans! This is just a temporary farewell, we hope to see Porsche return soon as it holds the win record at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (19)!
