TOYOTA GAZOO Racing won the 2018 6 Hours of Fuji and pulled off a one-two this weekend at home, the third since the first round at Spa-Francorchamps back in May. This marks the #7's first win of the season. Coincidentally, this was a race where teams and driver line-ups that had yet to win in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) stepped up to the plate, like in LMP2 with a 100% Malaysian trio, and in LMGTE Am with the German outfit Team Project 1 debuting in endurance.
2018 6 Hours of Fuji winners:
LMP1: #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid driven Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and José María López
LMP2: Jackie Chan DC Racing's #37 ORECA 07-Gibson driven by Jazeman Jaafar, Weiron Tan and Nabil Jeffri
LMGTE Pro: #92 Porsche 911 RSR driven by Kevin Estre and Michael Christensen
LMGTE Am: Team Project 1's #56 Porsche 911 RSR driven by Jörg Bergmeister, Patrick Lindsey and Egidio Perfetti
