Former Formula 1 drivers gearing up to take on the 92nd 24 Hours of Le Mans
The entry list of 186 drivers destined for the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans (12-16 June) has been announced, including several Formula 1 alumni.

The Realteam Hydrogen Redline driver line-up has clinched pole position at the 2nd Virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans finale of the 2021-2022 Le Mans Virtual Series. In GTE, the pole went to the Red Bull Racing Esport teams' #111 Corvette C8.R.
Two 20-minute sessions, one for LMP cars and the other for the GTE class, established the starting grid at the 2nd Virtual 24 Hours.
In LMP, Realteam Hydrogen Redline's #70 ORECA 07 LMP2 driven by simracer Jeffrey Rietveld clocked pole position in a time of 3:21.219. The Dutch driver – sharing the wheel with Felipe Drugovich, Oliver Rowland and Michal Smidl – qualified ahead of 2021 F1 world champion Max Verstappen in Team Redline's #123 ORECA. The gap between the two drivers is 0.002 seconds! The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Esports team's #67 ORECA rounded out the top 3 with a time of 3:21.258.
In GTE, Red Bull Racing Esports' #111 Corvette C8.R scored the top spot on the starting grid in 3:46.438 thanks to simracer Sebastian Job who has teamed up with Dennis Lind, Yuri Kasdorp and Nestor Garcia. Job qualified ahead of a Porsche Esports Team's #91 Porsche 911 RSR (3:46.528) and BMW Team Redline's #71 BMW M8 GTE (3:46.601). The race is looking highly competitive in this class to say the least: after qualifying, the top seven competitors are within the same second!
The start of the 2nd Virtual 24 Hours will be given tomorrow at 14:00 French time.
