New start line – Work has begun at the 24 Hours circuit

On Tuesday 13 March, the light gantry was erected in the Pit Straight and the new start line marked out. Installation of the starter’s booth will follow shortly.

The start line at the Circuit de la Sarthe has just been moved 145 metres. Work began on Tuesday 13 March with the on-site assembly and erection of the gantry supporting the starting lights and the marking of the line. They are now located in the middle of the Pit Straight, opposite the ACO Members’ stands.

Architect Christophe Bailleux, the man behind the Michelin tower, designed the four-part gantry, made by local steel construction specialists CMG. As already announced, the finish line will remain in its traditional place.
