In 2019, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing scored a stunning one-two, placing both its cars on the overall podium at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in front of 252,500 spectators. The #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid driven by Sébastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Fernando Alonso claimed the top step for the second time in a row, and won the FIA World Endurance Champion title in the bargain. For the first time in the race's history, 61 cars participated in the Super Finale of the 2018-2019 FIA WEC Super Season. In LMP2, French team Signatech Alpine Matmut won the class as well as the FIA Endurance LMP2 Team and Drivers Trophy, a triumphant end to the season for drivers Nicolas Lapierre, André Negrão and Pierre Thiriet. This year's 24 Hours of Le Mans was also marked by an intense battle in the LMGTE Pro class as Ferrari celebrated the 70th anniversary of its first victory at the race with a win thanks to the AF Corse team and James Calado, Alessandro Pier Guidi and Daniel Serra. Team Project 1's #56 Porsche 911 RSR won the LMGTE Am class thanks to drivers Jörg Bergmeister, Patrick Lindsey and Egidio Perfetti.

Next year's 24 Hours of Le Mans on 13-14 June will serve as the eighth and final round of the 2019-2020 FIA WEC, once again deciding the season's world champions. TOYOTA GAZOO Racing will defend its title and attempt to retain permanently the 24 Hours of Le Mans trophy as is custom when a manufacturer wins the race three times in a row.

Several anniversaries will also be on the programme, with among others the 50th anniversary of Porsche's first victory with the 917, the 40th of Jean Rondeau's win as the first driver-constructor to do so at the race and the 20th of Audi's first triumph at Le Mans. Don't forget, the start of next year's running will be given at 16:00 (instead of the usual 15:00) on 13 June and the checkered flag will be waved at 16:00 on 14 June.

Through 31 January 2020, General Enclosure Week passes are at the "Early" rate of € 82. Thereafter, the rate increases to € 89. Entrance is free for children under 16 (born after 14 June 2004) accompanied by an adult with a valid pass.
