MR Racing (Ferrari) at the 2018 and 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans with namely Olivier Beretta

A new team is set to make its debut in Endurance racing in 2018. MR Racing has just announced its intention to compete in the 2018/2019 Super Season of the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC), represented by a driver particularly familiar with the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Olivier Beretta.

It's one announcement after the other during this time leading up to Christmas! On the heels of Racing Team Nederland, another team will be making its big debut in the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) for the 2018/2019 Super Season, including the next two editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Japanese outfit MR Racing is looking to field a Ferrari 488 GTE to be shared by Motoaki Ishikawa, Eddie Cheever, III and Olivier Beretta in the LMGTE Am class, with technical support provided by the AF Corse team.

Motoaki Ishikawa has already participated in several races, namely in GT3 (in the 2017 Blancpain Endurance Series). Young driver Eddie Cheever, III - 24 years old and the son of Eddie Cheever who took the start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times - hails from the Italian GT Championship in which he became a champion this year. As for Olivier Beretta...every fan of Endurance racing knows his name! The Monaco native has 21 participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans to his credit, winning the race in GT six times (1999, 2000, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2011) for Chrysler and Chevrolet Corvette. Olivier Beretta is an official Ferrari driver and already knows Ishikawa Motoaki with whom he worked at the Bahrain Rookie Test (at the wheel of Clearwater Racing's #61 488 GTE) organized by the FIA WEC.
