MISSION H24: exclusive on-board footage!

Last weekend, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest launched Mission H24 at Spa-Francorchamps, the scene of the fifth round of the European Le Mans Series. The project, which aims to bring a Hydrogen class to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2024, was unveiled at the Belgian track where a hydrogen-powered racing car completed a few demonstration laps, including a fuel stop. And its emissions? Just water vapour.

Yannick Dalmas took the wheel of the GreenGT LMPH2G hydrogen-fuelled prototype at Spa-Francorchamps, where the ACO launched Mission H24 in association with GreenGT. This track demonstration of a hydrogen-powered racing machine, complete with fuel stop, during a race weekend was a world first. It was also the first stage of an ACO-led project which aims to encourage fuel cell technology in racing and on the road, with a view to zero-carbon mobility. In addition to water vapour, the GreenGT LMPH2G emits a rather original sound!
