In 2018, nearly 25 events were held at the circuits in Le Mans. In April, 76,000 spectators helped the 24 Hours Motos celebrate its 40th anniversary. The #5 Honda fielded by the F.C.C. TSR Honda France team won the race and became the first Japanese outfit to reach the top step on podium at the Bugatti circuit. A few weeks later in May, an attendance record was set at the French Motorcycle Grand Prix with 206,617 spectators (over the three days, and on Sunday itself 105,203) watching the French round of the MotoGP™ World Championship. In fact, the race is already scheduled to take place in Le Mans at the Bugatti circuit through 2026.

The pinnacle of 2018 took place in June, the 86th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. TOYOTA GAZOO Racing finally triumphed after 20 attempts thanks to drivers Sébastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and two-time F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso. Signatech Alpine Matmut won the LMP2 class and Porsche, celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, won in GT (Pro and Am). This edition served as the second round of the 2018-2019 World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) Super Season and drew 256,900 spectators.

In July, the Le Mans Classic also brought a record number of spectators: 135,000 people came to celebrate the history of motorsport and watch mint-condition vintage and collection cars in action.  

At the end of September, the 24 Hours Trucks proved another popular event with 57,200 fans at the Bugatti circuit for the battles in the French and European Championships, including the duel between regional favorite Thomas Robineau and defending champion Anthnony Janiec. That was an extraordinary and packed weekend with the 24 Hours of Karting (in the CIK) as well, won by Sodikart. 

The 2018 season is over, now on to 2019!

The 2019 calendar for the circuits at Le Mans is expanding. In the coming year, as many as 27 events are planned, including cars, motos, trucks, karting vintage automobiles, and even running, bicycling and skating. Don't miss the 42nd edition of the 24 Hours Motos (20-21 April 2019), the French Moto Grand Prix (16-19 May 2019), the 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (15-16 June 2019), the 24 Hours Karting (27-29 September 2019) and the 24 Hours Trucks (27-29 September 2019). And don't forget the Tour Auto (4 May 2019) or the Classic Days (6-7 July 2019).
