This coming weekend, the Le Mans Esports Series virtual championship – in which players from all over the world to go head to head in the game Forza Motorsport 7 – will hold an important round at the Autosport International motorsport event in Birmingham. At this prestigious gathering, the European race will take place, allowing one player to secure his or her spot in the Le Mans Esports Series finale scheduled during the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.
Since the end of the summer and the very first round contested online at the Silverstone circuit, races have continued in the Forza Motorsport 7 game for players across the globe. On Xbox One, they have have battled it out in an attempt to qualify for the virtual race during the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June, in tandem with the "real" race.
Three rounds (Silverstone, Shanghai and Fuji) have each allowed three players to qualify. Thanks to each qualifying round, one player from the Europe/Middle East/Africa zone, one from the Asia zone and one from the America zone have secured their spots to form a trio for the finale. For this upcoming fourth race, set at the Brands Hatch circuit in the Forza Motorsport 7 game, we already know two of the qualifying players. JSR AziDhk won the race reserved for the Asia zone players. But as he or she had already qualified, Kamikaze110 will take the spot for Le Mans. For the America zone, the player named Harmonic won, but having already qualified, he or she ceded the place to Vanquish, also already qualified…so F4hrevz has won the invitation.
Kamikaze110 and F4hrevz will be joined for Le Mans by a third player set to qualify this weekend!
During Autosport International, the best players of the Europe/Middle East/Africa zone will have the opportunity to secure a spot. Ten players whom have qualified online will compete in person on a stage installed for the occasion in the heart of the motorsport event (Hall 1, Stand 1410). They will be joined by two players whom have qualified in person. Indeed, spectators who did not qualify online will be able to do so in a simulator at Autosport International, and the fastest players will be allowed to compete for a place in the finale. The simulators are available until Saturday. The two best players will be invited to the finale on Sunday at 17:00 local time.
Who will win this fourth round? The Brits are quite numerous, particularly thanks to a few players from the Williams Esports team, such as Williams Mitch and Williams RR. Representing the French are Williams Seven, Vitality Asix and G2 Laige.
Any of these players can triumph, unless a, on-site competitor causes an upset!
