Yesterday night was party night at the Austin circuit as World Endurance Championship competitors arrived for the race. Driver and DJ Giancarlo Fisichella was all set to spin the tunes.
As well as being a world-class endurance racing and ex-Formula One driver, the Italian is also an ace on the turntables. We don’t mean he has a good playlist he shares with friends. No, he’s a proper DJ. He regularly provides the entertainment for F1 Grand Prix and for events hosted by Ferrari. From Budapest, to Milan and Monaco, Fisichella knows how to get the racing world on the dance floor, as proved at this party at the Piper Club last year.
The winner of the LM GTE Pro class at Le Mans in 2012 and 2014 will no doubt be watching the 6 Hours of the Circuit of the Americas with interest. He won’t be competing in the WEC race but will be racing in a shorter WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race. Fisichella and Toni Vilander stand sixth in the GTLM class this season.
