After a break of nearly six months due to the quarantine and other factors relating to COVID-19, the FIA World Endurance Championship kicked off again for the TOTAL 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps this past weekend. TOYOTA GAZOO Racing's #7 Toyota TS050 shared by Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and José María López claimed the top step on the overall podium. The Japanese manufacturer now has a 42-point lead on Rebellion Racing in the FIA WEC LMP1 Championship.
In the LMP2 class, United Autosports scored its third consecutive win with the #22 ORECA 07-Gibson. ahead of the Cool Racing team's #42 ORECA 07-Gibson and Racing Team Nederland's #29 ORECA 07-Gibson.
The #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19 of duo Christensen/Estre won the LMGTE Pro class ahead of two Aston Martin Vantage AMRs, the #95 and the #97.
The top step on the LMGTE Am podium was reached by AF Corse's #83 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.

The 88th 24 Hours of Le Mans on 19-20 September is the next round of the 2019-2020 FIA WEC season. It will be held behind closed doors due to the global pandemic.
