Felix Rosenqvist to join DragonSpeed for the 24 Hours of Le Mans

With Nicolas Lapierre recruited by Toyota for the 24 Hours, the DragonSpeed team - competing in the European Le Mans Series in the LM P2 class - has opted to replace him in the #21 Oreca 07 with single-seaters driver Felix Rosenqvist for Le Mans.

Like Nicolas Lapierre in 2003, Felix Rosenqvist has won the coveted F3 Grand Prix of Macau, but unlike the French driver, the Swede was able to claim the top step on the podium twice, in 2014 and 2015, before turning to the DTM, the German touring car championship, in 2016, then to Formula E, the FIA electric single-seaters championship, this year.

The 2015 champion of the European championship F3, who participated in the 24 Hours of Spa last year, will debut in the LM P2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but has already driven the Oreca 07 he will share with Ben Hanley and Henrik Hedman during a testing session at Silverstone earlier this week.
