The 2019 season of the European Le Mans Series is well underway! An entry record has already been set (41) for this weekend's first round, followed by a breathtaking qualifying session today at the Paul Ricard circuit. Fierce battles for the fastest time played out in all three classes.
In LMP2, a new record was established in 1:40.052 by Norman Nato at the wheel of G-Drive Racing's Aurus 01.
In LMP3, the best time was clocked by Oregon Team, clinching the pole in the last seconds of the session. The first LMP3 car on the starting grid is in 17th position.
In LMGTE, the battle for pole position between Porsche and Ferrari was won by Dempsey Proton Racing's #77 Porsche ahead of the Luzich Racing team's Ferrari.
The start of the 4 Hours of Le Castellet will be given tomorrow, Sunday at 12:30 local time.
