After the opening round at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, France, the European Le Mans Series heads to Belgium this weekend. The second of the season’s five rounds will be held this Sunday, 9 August, on the demanding Spa-Francorchamps circuit. With the race being held behind closed doors, fans will be able to watch live, uninterrupted coverage of the action free of charge on the European Le Mans Series official website. MotorTrend OnDemand will also broadcast the event in Europe and the USA.

Full details of TV coverage of the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps can be found here.

The legendary 7.004-km circuit will welcome 40 cars, 27 teams and 118 drivers for the four-hour race which will go green at 11:00. Sixteen cars are entered in the LMP2 class, 12 in LMP3 and 12 in LMGTE.
United Autosports tops the LMP2 standings after the team’s win at the 4 Hours of Le Castellet. Ambitious rivals including G-Drive Racing (#26 Aurus 01-Gibson), Idec Sport (#28 Oreca 07-Gibson), Graff (#39 Oreca 07-Gibson) and Panis Racing (#31 Oreca 07-Gibson) will all be seeking to eclipse the British outfit this time. The LMP2 field – the premier class in ELMS – will be strengthened by the appearance of Jota’s #38 Oreca 07-Gibson that usually races in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
The LMP3 class will see several teams battle it out for a place on the podium. United Autosports, Europol Competition, RLR MSport and Nielsen Racing figure among the favourites. As in LMP2, United Autosports lies in first place in the provisional standings.
Finally, the LMGTE class is shaping up for another three-way tussle between Porsche, Ferrari and Aston Martin. The #77 Porsche 911 RSR fielded by Proton Competition will undoubtedly be looking for more success after its win in the south of France. Actor Michael Fassbender will again take the wheel of the team’s second car with Felipe Laser and Richard Lietz.
