ByKolles Racing Team completed its test campaign under the Monza sunshine with crew Oliver Webb, Dominik Kraihamer and Tom Dillmann, joined by Rene Binder. The session gave the Austrian outfit the chance to validate its aero set-up before the season kicks off on 5 May in Spa-Francorchamps, followed by the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 16-17 June (book your tickets).
The team encountered some recurring issues over 2016 and 2017 and suffered a spectacular fire, from which Pierre Kaffer fortunately escaped unscathed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans two years ago. In response, ByKolles Racing Team has been working hard to improve the car since the end of last season.
Boris Bermes, Head of operations: "We had another satisfying day with good reliability and a significant amount of data gathered: we will evaluate them over the coming couple of days and we will be ready for the challenge ahead of us. Every single new component has been working properly from day one and focusing on development since September last year has proven to be the right call".
