At Daytona, Fernando Alonso discovers 24-hour races

There's no secret here: Fernando Alonso's goal is to win the Triple Crown, a feat only British driver Graham Hill has accomplished so far. After trying his hand at the beast that is the Indianapolis 500 last year, the two-time World Formula 1 Champion in 2005 and 2006 is set to take on the Rolex 24 at Daytona this weekend to gain experience in Endurance racing.

As he explains in this video, filmed at the press conference following the ROAR, the official testing sessions for the Rolex 24 at Daytona in early January, Fernando Alonso has a lot to learn about Endurance racing. Nonetheless, the Spanish driver - nameded best rookie of the 2017 edition of the Indianapolis 500 despite a retirement due to an engine breakdown - loves a challenge, and to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year would make him very happy…
