Asian Le Mans Series – Rick Ware Racing gets to know the Ligier Jsp2 at Le Mans Aerodrome

This morning, at the aerodrome next to the Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans, American team Rick Ware Racing made its first encounter with the two Ligier JSP2s it is fielding in the 2019-20 Asian Le Mans Series.

Rick Ware Racing is an American outfit that usually competes in Nascar. However, it has now taken on a new challenge and is set to compete in the LMPS Am class in the 2019-20 Asian Le Mans Series with two Ligier JSP2s. Cody Ware, the first driver confirmed for the Asian championship, is presently in Le Mans for his first encounter with the French prototype. The car is now being put through its paces in a shakedown session at the Le Mans aerodrome.

The 2019-20 Asian Le Mans Series kicks off on 24 November 2019 on Shanghai International Circuit (China). Competitors will then travel to The Bend in South Australia for the weekend of 10-12 January. The third round will be held on the Sepang International Circuit (Malaysia) on 14-15 February 2020. The season will come to a close at the Buriram Chang International Circuit (Thailand) on 21-23 February 2020.

The winners of each class – LMP2, LMP2 AM Trophy, LMP3 and GT – will earn an invitation to the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans.
