24h Le Mans
The #24 Ligier JS P2-Judd fielded by Algarve Pro Racing with Andrea Pizzitola and Harrison Newey at the wheel will start from pole position tomorrow at the 4 Hours of Buriram, the third round of the 2018-19 Asian Le Mans Series.
Algarve Pro Racing’s #24 Ligier JS P2-Judd has taken pole at the 4 Hours of Buriram, with British driver Harrison Newey chalking up a time of 1:25.571. He shares driving duties with Frenchman Andrea Pizzitola. United Autosports and its Ligier JS P2-Nissan, the car currently leads the provisional championship standings, bagged the second spot on the grid after Phil Hanson achieved a time of 1:25.956. The #4 Ligier JS P2-Nissan entered by Slovak team ARC Bratislava and driven by Miro Konopka, Ling Kang and Darren Burke finished third in qualifying (1:26.111).
In the LMP3 class, the United Autosports Ligier JS P3 claims pole with Wayne Boyd marking the best time (1:29.508). The team qualified ahead of the #65 Ligier JS P3 from Malaysian outfit Viper Niza Racing with Douglas Khoo and Nigel Moore at the wheel (1’29’’606). The gap between the first two cars was very tight, so the race promises to deliver a thrilling battle.
The Spirit Of Race #51 Ferrari 488 GT3 takes pole in the GT class. The swiss team’s drivers are Alessandro Pier Guidi, Oswaldo Negri Jr and Francesco Piovanetti. They finished ahead of the other Ferrari 488 GT3, entered by Japanese team Car Guy, current championship leaders. The Tianshi Racing Team #88 Audi R8 LMS starts from third on the grid.
