After Spa, Fernando Alonso (Toyota) confident going in to the 24 Hours of Le Mans

Fernando Alonso has started off the 2018-2019 Super Season of the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) in the best possible way, winning the opening round at Spa-Francorchamps with his teammates Kazuki Nakajima and Sébastien Buemi.

After starting from the pole following the disqualification of all times clocked by its sister car, the #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid never let go of the reins, except the time it took to refuel. Though Sébastien Buemi took the start, he then gave the wheel to Fernando Alonso, the only one of the trio to drive the car twice, with the goal of doing as many laps as possible in preparation for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Spanish driver seems pretty confident, and who can blame him?
