Following the rounds in Shanghai (China), at The Bend (Australia) and in Sepang (Malaysia), the 2019-2020 season of the Asian Le Mans Series came to a close today in Buiram, Thailand. The results of the four-hour race are as follows:
- LMP2 winner - Thunderhead Carlin Racing's #45 Dallara P217 driven by Jack Manchester-Harry Tincknell-Ben Barnicoat
- LMP2 Am winner - Rick Ware Racing's #25 Ligier JS P2 driven by Guy Cosmo-Anthony Lazzaro-Phillipe Mulacek
- LMP3 winner - ACE1 Villorba Corse's #12 Ligier JS P3 driven by David Fumanelli-Alessandro Bressan-Andreas Laskaratos
- GT winner - HubAuto Corsa's #27 Ferrari 488 GT3 driven by Tim Slade-Marcos Gomes-Liam Talbot
This was the second win in a row for Thunderhead Carlin Racing (in the same week no less): the 4 Hours of Sepang and the 4 Hours of Buriram. The team, currently second in the championship, battled with LMP2 title-winner G-Drive Racing by Algarve's #26 Aurus 01. Third place at the 4 Hours of Buriram went to K2 Uchino Racing's #96 ORECA 07, the first podium finish for a Japanese team in the LMP2 class. In GT, HubAuto Corsa won the race and secured the class title.
