24 Hours of Le Mans - Road to Le Mans (Race 2)

The second Road To Le Mans race was won by the #3 Norma driven by François Kirmann and Laurents Hörr. Winner of Race 1 in the GT3 class, the Spirit Of Race #71 Ferrari reigned supreme once more.

DKR Engineering seized the chance for victory at the mandatory driver changeover, which has to take place between the 22nd and 32nd minute. In third place at the time, Hörr overtook first the Lanan Racing #25 Norma and then the #30 to head for home.

The #84 Ligier JS P3 fielded by Frédéric Sausset’s academy for handicapped drivers ran an excellent race with Snoussi Ben Moussa in the top 20 at the changeover.

Early in the race spectators witnessed a fine scrap between the #8 Kessel Racing and the #71 Luzich Racing. At the wheel of the #71 Fabien Lavergne took the lead before leaving the car to Mikkel Mac who widened the gap and took the chequered flag.

Six Road to Le Mans teams are also taking part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans: United Autosports, Inter Europol Competition, RLR M Sport, Spirit of Race, Graff and Kessel Racing.
