24 Hours of Le Mans – Reactions from the winners of the LMGTE Am class

The #83 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo drivers dominated most of the race. A huge success for AF Corse who has won both LMGTE Pro and LMGTE Am in the last decade.

François Perrodo:

"I'm tired, but happy; We won with 90 seconds to spare after a real battle with the #33 Aston Martin. It was difficult at times and lots of cars went off due to the conditions. OWe managed to gain  the upper hand. Nicklas and Alessio were great at night, which is always tricky. I left them the pros to do their job. I feel like I'm dreaming. This result is worth a lot of championship points."

Nicklas Nielsen:

"The rain was hard to manage because the track can be hazardous. We put our slicks on early, and that might have made a difference to the end result. So many cars went off and had to retire as a result. There was no margin for error in this race."

Alessio Rovera:

"It was our lucky year. The rain made for a crazy race and the track was very iffy at first. I'm really emotional because this is my first 24 Hours of Le Mans win. It's an incomparable feeling. I want to congratulate all the engineers and mechanics, and Nicklas who was really quick in the early stages and François who did a great stint against Ben Keating [TF Sport #33 Aston Martin Vantage AMR ]."
