24 Hours of Le Mans – Reactions from the GT FIA World Endurance Drivers’ title winners
Kevin Estre and Michael Christensen, drivers of the #92 Porsche 911, have been crowned FIA World Endurance GT Champions after finishing tenth in the LM GTE Pro class at the 87th 24 Hours of Le Mans. They tell us how proud they are to have taken the title, after an intense race and season.
Kévin Estre
I’m very proud of this title. We were proud to win the race last year and we’re proud to take the title this year. We would have liked a good result in the race, but we didn’t manage that. We had the pace for it but we had an issue in the night. I was very happy to have some great, fast teammates with me. And a great team behind us, we’ve been very consistent. We’ve not always been the quickest but we scored more points than the others throughout the season, we only missed two podiums in the whole season. That shows that we were very strong and I’m very happy to have achieved this. It was a tough one though.
"Both GT titles were won by Porsche or a Porsche customer."

Michael Christensen
The Super Season was the season to win. It’s been really long and tough. There was no mental break over the winter so you had to stay focused. After Shanghai, we were doing quite well in the championship, so we had to keep focused and keep cool for the rest of the races. That was a challenge in itself. I think we showed in every race that we were capable of winning or of being on the podium.

At Porsche Motorsport, we are all really proud of these titles (GTE Pro and GTE Am), including those of our customers, Project 1. Both GT titles were won by Porsche or a Porsche customer. It’s really great for us, for our drivers, our factory and our teams.
