24 Hours of Le Mans - Giuseppe Risi welcomes Sébastien Bourdais to Risi Competizione

Sébastien Bourdais recently got behind the wheel of the Risi Competizione #82 Ferrari. The opportunity for Giuseppe Risi to welcome him to his team.

For the 88th Le Mans 24 Hours (19-20 September 2020), the seventh of eight rounds in the 2019-20 FIA World Endurance Championship, Risi Competizione will be fielding a Ferrari 488 GTE EVO in the LMGTE Pro class. The car will be entrusted to a trio of French drivers: Sébastien Bourdais (13 Le Mans starts with three podium finishes and one pole position), Olivier Pla (12 starts), and Jules Gounon who drove the same car last year on his début at the French endurance classic.

Sébastien Bourdais recently tried out the Ferrari 488 GTE EVO for the first time before the car was dispatched from Houston en route for Le Mans. It was the ideal opportunity for team owner Giuseppe Risi to welcome the Le Mans-born driver aboard (in the Frenchman’s language!). He also declared that for him, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is the most important race in the world.
Like last year, the livery on the #82 Ferrari has been designed by students of the École nationale supérieure des arts appliqués et des métiers d'art in Paris.

During the 2019 race, the American team lost 45 minutes in the pits due to a mechanical issue. However, the #89 Ferrari returned to the track to finish in 40th position and 11th in the LM GTE Pro class.
