24 Hours of Le Mans – Duqueine Engineering (LMP2)

This year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans sees a record number of entrants on the grid. We take a look at the 43 teams behind the 62 cars in the field. Here’s the lowdown on LMP2 team Duqueine Engineering.

Team: Duqueine Engineering

Class: LMP2

Car and Drivers:

#30 ORECA 07-Gibson

  • Romain Dumas (18 participations, 2 overall wins in 2010 and 2016, 1 LMGTE Pro win in 2013)
  • Nico Jamin (rookie)
  • Pierre Ragues (11 participations)

Team Achievements:

Founded in 2014 by Gilles Duqueine and Yann Belhomme, in just five years this French team has scaled the entire ACO pyramid from the Le Mans Cup to the European Le Mans Series. The outfit is gearing up for first 24 Hours of Le Mans with a driver line-up led by two-time winner Romain Dumas.

Team Goals for the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans:

Despite its lack of experience at the 24 Hours, the team has the ORECA-Gibson 07 and an extremely talented trio of drivers comprised of a fast rookie, one of the best Silver drivers of the field and a two-time Le Mans winner, everything needed to aim for a top 5 in LMP2.
