24h Le Mans
Books and graphic novels on the 24 Hours of Le Mans are often released in the run-up to the legendary endurance race. Before these publications take pride of place on bookshelves, fans will have the chance to get them specially signed by their authors during the 24 Hours race week.
Michel Vaillant – New season, Vol. 6 “Rébellion” (in French)
Following Jean-Pierre’s demise and the break-up of the family business, the Vaillant clan is faced with more torment than ever before. Writers Philippe Graton and Denis Lapière and colourist Christian Lerolle will be signing autographs throughout the week.
Glénat – “24 Heures du Mans – 1972-1974 : les années Matra” (in French)
In this latest addition to the Plein Gaz collection, illustrators Christian Papazoglakis and Robert Paquet and writer Denis Bernard take the reader back to the Matra odyssey and reveal the secrets of a French success story!
Garbo – “Steve McQueen in Le Mans”
Sandro Garbo and his team have adapted Steve McQueen’s “Le Mans” as a graphic novel. An album where every illustration is a work of art.
“Le Mans Pit Lane”
Photographers Jean-Claude Baudier and Lucie Hodiesne have rendered their experiences of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in a book comprising some 500 black-and-white photographs – a true masterpiece.
“Henri Pescarolo” – Jean-Marc Teissedre
The story of an outstanding driver-cum-team founder and his passion for motorsport. After his personal exploits on the racetrack, Henri Pescarolo devoted his life to the Pescarolo stable, his racing team, and the men and women who battle alongside him.
Sunday 11 June
Two sessions will be held on the first day of scrutineering in Place de la République, in the centre of Le Mans. From 14:00 to 16:00 and from 17:00 to 19:00:
- The writers and colourists of the latest Michel Vaillant album, “Rébellion”, will autograph the graphic novel (in partnership with the Bulle bookshop, Le Mans).
- Authors and illustrators from graphic novel publishers Glénat will sign copies of the album “24 Heures du Mans – 1972-1974 : les années Matra”.
Monday 12 June
If you missed the book-signing sessions held on the first day of scrutineering, do not despair! You will have another chance on day two. From 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:30 to 16:30:

Tuesday13 June
Fans will have to wait a little while longer to see the cars and drivers return to the track for free practice and qualifying. Autograph sessions are therefore the order of the day on Tuesday. From 17:00 to 18:30:
- The writers and colourists of the latest Michel Vaillant album, “Rébellion”, will autograph the graphic novel at the Vaillante Rebellion stand in the circuit paddock (in partnership with the Bulle bookshop, Le Mans).
Wednesday14 June
From 14:00 to 16:30:
- Jean-Claude Baudier, photographer and author of “Le Mans Pit Lane”, will sign copies of the publication in the official boutique in the 24 Hours museum building.
From 15:00 to 16:30:
- Jean-Marc Teissedre will sign copies of his book devoted to Henri Pescarolo in the official boutique in the 24 Hours museum building.
From 19:00 to 22:00:
- The writers and colourists of the latest Michel Vaillant album, “Rébellion”, will autograph the graphic novel in the Welcome building foyer (in partnership with the Bulle bookshop, Le Mans).
Thursday 15 June
From 14:00 to 16:30:
- Jean-Claude Baudier, photographer and author of “Le Mans Pit Lane”, will sign copies of the publication in the official boutique in the 24 Hours museum building.
From 19:00 to 22:00:
- The writers and colourists of the latest Michel Vaillant album, “Rébellion”, will autograph the graphic novel in the Welcome building foyer (in partnership with the Bulle bookshop, Le Mans).
Friday 16 June
From 14:00 to 16:00:
- The writers and colourists of the latest Michel Vaillant album, “Rébellion”, will autograph the graphic novel at the Vaillante Rebellion stand in the circuit paddock (in partnership with the Bulle bookshop, Le Mans).
From 15:00 to 16:30:
- Jean-Marc Teissedre will sign copies of his book devoted to Henri Pescarolo in the official boutique in the 24 Hours museum building.
Saturday 17 June
From 10:00 to 12:00, from 16:00 to 18:30 and from 20:00 to 22:00:
- The writers and colourists of the latest Michel Vaillant album, “Rébellion”, will autograph the graphic novel in the Welcome building foyer (in partnership with the Bulle bookshop, Le Mans).
- Authors and illustrators from graphic novel publishers Glénat will sign copies of the album “24 Heures du Mans – 1972-1974 : les années Matra” in the ACO Members’ space near La Chapelle turn from 10:00 to 12:00, and at the official boutique in the museum building from 16:00 to 18:30, and from 20:00 to 22:00.
From 12:30 to 14:00:
- Sandro Garbo will sign his graphic novel adaptation of Steve McQueen’s “Le Mans” in the ACO Members’ space near the La Chapelle turn.
From 16:30 to 19:30:
- Sandro Garbo will sign his graphic novel adaptation of Steve McQueen’s “Le Mans” in the official ACO boutique in the race village.

- Authors and illustrators from graphic novel publishers Glénat will sign copies of the album “24 Heures du Mans – 1972-1974 : les années Matra” in the ACO Members’ space near the La Chapelle turn.
From 10:00 to 13:30:
- The writers and colourists of the latest Michel Vaillant album, “Rébellion”, will autograph the graphic novel in the Welcome building foyer.
- Sandro Garbo will sign his graphic novel adaptation of Steve McQueen’s “Le Mans” in the official ACO boutique in the race village.
Fans of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and first-time visitors to the event are invited to come and meet the authors and discover new stories about this legendary race.
