Jackie Chan Racing and Fist-Team AAI are the last teams invited to take part in qualifying for the Le Mans 24 Hours due to their results in the Asian Le Mans Series.

In compliance with the specific regulations of the Le Mans 24 Hours, which limit to two the number of invitations for the event, Jackie Chan Racing winner of the Le Mans 24 Hours in LM P2 and in the Asian Le Mans Series in both LM P2 and LM P3 is only allowed two invitations for the 2018 Le Mans 24 Hours.

Here is the complete list of the teams invited:

Two invitations for:

• Jackie Chan DC Racing: victory in the Le Mans 24 Hours in the LM P2 category and victory in the Asian Le Mans Series in LM P2 and LM P3. Invitation in LM P2 and invitation in LM P2 or in LM GTE Am.
• JMW Motorsport: victory in the Le Mans 24 Hours in the LM GTE Am category and victory in the European Le Mans Series in the LM GTE category. Invitation in LM GTE Am and Invitation in LM GTE Pro or Am.
• Fist-Team AAI: victory and second place in the Asian Le Mans Series in the GT category. Invitations in LM GTE (the entrant can choose between LM GTE Pro and LM GTE Am).

One invitation for:

• Aston Martin Racing: victory in the Le Mans 24 Hours in the LM GTE Pro category. Invitation in LM GTE Pro.
• G Drive Racing: victory in the European Le Mans Series in the LM P2 category. Invitation in LM P2.
• TF Sport: 2nd in the European Le Mans Series in the LM GTE category. Invitation in LM GTE Pro or Am.
• United Autosports: victory in the European Le Mans Series in the LM P3 category. Invitation in LM P2.
• JDC – Miller Motorsports: nominated by IMSA. Invitation in LM P2
• Keating Motorsports: nominated by IMSA. Invitation in LM GTE Am.
• Ebimotors: victory in the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup. Invitation in LM GTE Am

Each invitation can only be confirmed if the car in question has been entered for one of the following three championships in 2018: the Asian Le Mans Series, the European Le Mans Series and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

This list represents a possible entry of 13 cars out of the 60 places available on the starting grid on Saturday 16th June at 15:00.

Entries for the 2018 Le Mans 24 Hours and the 2018-19 FIA World Endurance Championship Super Season have been open since Friday 18th December. The closing date is tomorrow, Monday 5th February.

The full lists will be unveiled on Friday 9th February.
