WEC - A look back at the 6 Hours of Fuji (video)

The 6 Hours of Fuji didn't disappoint and was one of the most exciting of the season so far. The race was still up in the air through the checkered flag.

Going into the race, Toyota was the only manufacturer yet to clinch a win in the World Endurance Championship this year, but the #6 Toyota driven by Stéphane Sarrazin, Kamui Kobayashi and Mike Conway prevailed and gave the Japanese giant its first victory of 2016.

It was a race of firsts with a win as well for G-Drive Racing's #26 Oreca 05 Nissan (Roman Rusinov, Alex Brundle and Will Stevens) in LM P2, a car that has often led races this season but not won. Same thing for Ford with the #67 of Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell: after this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans, the American marque won its first six-hour race in the championship. In LM GTE Am, a second consecutive victory went to the #98 Aston Martin driven by Mathias Lauda, Paul Dalla Lana and Pedro Lamy.

Relive this fantastic round - attended by 52,300 spectators - in the video.

The eighth round will take place in three weeks in Shanghai, China on Sunday, November 6th. It will be the second race on that continent this year.
