WEC - A few modifications to the 6 Hours of Mexico entry list

Less than two weeks from the 6 Hours of Mexico, the fifth of nine races on the 2016 World Endurance Championship (WEC) season calendar, a few changes have been made to the entry list.

The changes pertain first of all to the LM P2 class with Lewis Williamson again at the wheel of Strakka Racing's Gibson 015S, along with Nick Leventis and Jonny Kane, after a first appearance at the Nürburgring. The young Scot, replacing Danny Watts, will finish out the season with the British team.

Another British oufit, Manor, will welcome Alfonso "Picho" Toledano, Jr. - former test driver for the Mexican team in A1 GP whose father was teammates with Ayrton Senna in the 1980s - in the #44 Oreca to support Matt Rao and Richard Bradley. In Mexico, Manor will only enter one car, the #45 Oreca 05 expected to compete at Lone Star Le Mans in Texas in September.

Lastly, the final British outfit to make changes is Aston Martin Racing whose Vantage entered in the LM GTE Am class will return to Michelin tyres after an early season with Dunlop. The two Vantages in the LM GTE Pro class will remain with the British manufacturer, which is losing a second team in addition to Extreme Speed Motorsports after the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
