The winning Ford GT on display at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit

The NAIAS (North American International Auto Show), the biggest auto show in the U.S., is where manufacturers present their newest innovations, and exhibit the cars that have brought them success, like Ford with its Ford GT winner in the LM GTE Pro class at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The series Ford GTs, released as of early December, were revealed by the American marque at the North American International Auto Show two years ago. Since then, the competition version won its class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It is this #68 car - a nod to one of Ford's four consecutive victories at Le Mans between 1966 and 1969 - which is being shown by Ford until January 22nd in Detroit.
