Porsche's motto at the 24 Hours of Le Mans: never give up (video)

The 2017 24 Hours of Le Mans was certainly challenging for the German manufacturer's drivers and teams, especially those competing in the LMP1 class. The marque dealt with four retirements out of six cars entered in the race. In the end, Porsche triumphed once again, even pulling off a hat trick with a third consecutive win and 19th victory.

Yet things did not always go the German manufacturer's way: at the beginning of the race, the #2 Porsche 919 Hybrid experienced a loss of traction on the front axle that ended up taking 65 minutes in the garage to repair. Back on the track in 56th position, the car proceeded to overtake competitor after competitor, including the leader (the #38 Oreca 07-Gibson) one hour before the checkered flag.

The #1 919 Hybrid stopped on the edge of the track shortly after noon with André Lotterer at the wheel, and the German driver was unable to restart the car. Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber (#2) won the 85th edition.

In this video, the guiding principle "never give up" illustrates perfectly the mindset of everyone in Porsche LMP Team.
