Jean-Éric Vergne to make his 24 Hours of Le Mans debut with CEFC Manor TRS Racing (Oreca)

Jean-Éric Vergne is gearing up for his first World Endurance Championship season including, of course, the 24 Hours of Le Mans (17 and 18 June). The former Formula One driver will race one of the two Oreca 07s fielded by British outfit CEFC Manor TRS Racing in the LM P2 class.

26-year-old Vergne has spent most of his career so far in single-seaters, boasting 58 F1 Grand Prix appearances with Scuderia Toro Rosso (2012-2014). The Frenchman is now turning to endurance racing and will make his maiden Le Mans 24 Hours outing this year.

Jean-Éric Vergne: "I'm extremely happy to join CEFC Manor TRS Racing for the WEC season. Endurance racing and especially the 24 Hours of Le Mans is something that has been more and more on my mind lately. I couldn’t ask for more than to start this experience with such a great team. I can’t wait to be behind the wheel and bring my motivation to the team to achieve great results together!"

Vergne joins Jonathan Hirschi, Simon Trummer, Roberto Gonzalez and Tor Graves at CEFC Manor TRS Racing.
