Fabien Barthez and his teammates join MCC to visit children with illnesses

This week, Fabien Barthez and his teammates Timothé Buret and Nathanaël Berthon, who will share the wheel of Panis-Barthez Compétition's Ligier LMP2 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, paid a visit in partnership with Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque to sick children at the Marie-Lannelongue hospital in the Parisian suburb Plessis-Robinson.

For eight years the Automobile Club de l'Ouest has welcomed the Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque association to the 24 Hours of Le Mans village, and every year a team set to take the start at the race collaborates with the association for the event. In 2017 that team is Panis-Barthez Compétition.

It was in the spirit of this partnership that Fabien Barthez, 1998 World Football Champion with France's team, Timothé Buret and Nathanaël Berthon, teammates in the European Le Mans Series in the #23 Ligier JS P217, came together to meet children in the care of the association celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

Once again, spectators in the 24 Hours of Le Mans village will be able to pedal to save children, as many drivers will do: partners Carrefour and Carrefour Market will donate 2€ to the Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque association for every kilometer covered.
