ELMS - Villorba Corse unveils the 2017-look Dallara

Villorba Corse will be competing in LM P2 in the forthcoming European Le Mans Series. With sights set on Le Mans 2017, the Venitian team has presented the livery of the Dallara driven by Roberto Lacorte, Andrea Belicchi and Giorgio Sernagiotto.

Their message is clear. They declare themselves the incarnation of “the Italian spirit of Le Mans” and have named their programme “Road to Le Mans”. Starting at the base of the ACO endurance pyramid, Raimondo Amdio’s team began in LM P3, banking two podium places in the ELMS season, which boasted a 20-car grid.

The aim being to enter the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the next logical step was to compete in LM P2 and notch up the necessary experience before the big race. Lacorte has therefore had time to practice and will also be able to lean on Andrea Belicchi, a seven-time Le Mans driver and long-term member of the Rebellion Racing team whose best result to date is 11th overall in 2012.

Raimondo Amadio, team manager: “For Villorba Corse, 2017 will be the most important and exciting season in [the] last decade. We are going to undertake a crucial challenge that leads our team to a very high level of professionalism in motorsport. We will work at our best to get the most from the upcoming season, which, de facto, for us has already begun.”
