Visit the Cité Plantagenêt

Le Mans is the home of a royal dynasty - the Plantegenêts. They reigned in England from the 12th to the 15th century. Enclosed by a Roman wall dating from the end of the 3rd century, the old city spans nine hectares, officially considered since 1974 as a protected historic site. Called the "ville d'art et d'histoire" (city of art and history), Le Mans offers a unique architectural heritage certainly worth exploring.
