On 2 June, G-Drive Racing announced that Nathanaël Berthon was being replaced by British driver Will Stevens in the #26 Oreca 05 Nissan, teaming up with Roman Rusinov and René Rast. As the former Manor Marussia Formula One driver (17 F1 Grands Prix) was due to take the wheel of the #44 Oreca 05 Nissan at Le Mans, this left a vacant place in the Manor line-up.
The seat will be taken by his former Manor Marussia F1 teammate, Roberto Merhi. The Spaniard contested 13 Formula One Grands Prix last term. He will join up with Matt Rao and Tor Graves in the #44.
Roberto Merhi: I am very excited to be taking part in this great race that has so much history. I'm really looking forward to racing with Matt and Tor and seeing what we can achieve together. I would like to thank the team for this wonderful opportunity.
