24 Hours of Le Mans legends at the London Classic Car Show

From February 23rd through the 26th will be held the London Classic Car Show at ExCeL, not far from Canary Wharf. During the gala soirée, Jacky Ickx - seven-time winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans - will be presented with the Icon Award, in the presence of three other Le Mans victors.

Thirty-five years after their last shared victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Jacky Ickx and five-time winner Derek Bell will meet again on the London Classic Car Show stage. The two men won together for the first time in a Mirage in 1975, and again in 1981, then in a Porsche 936 in 1981 and a Porsche 956 in 1982.

The Belgian and the Brit will be joined by Jürgen Barth - with whom Jacky Ickx claimed the top step on the podium at the 1977 24 Hours along with Hurley Haywood - as well as Emanuele Pirro, another five-time winner at Le Mans with Audi. In all, the four drivers present will count no less than 17 victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans between them!
