Panis Barthez Compétition has announced that Frenchman Julien Canal will again drive the #23 Ligier JS P217 in the European Le Mans Series. As well as securing the 2017 FIA WEC Endurance Trophy for LMP2 Drivers, Canal has notched up three class wins (in LM GT1 and LM GTE Am) in nine appearances at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The team hopes to be invited to compete in the 87th running of the legendary race on 15-16 June 2019.
Last year, the #23 Ligier JS P217-Gibson placed 13th overall and ninth in the LMP2 standings at Le Mans.
