Asian Le Mans Series – 99 Racing wins the 4 Hours of Dubai

The third round of the 2023/2024 Asian Le Mans Series season saw fierce battles in all three championship categories.

On the heels of its unflinching domination, 99 Racing's #99 ORECA 07-Gibson shared by Ahmad Al Harthy/Nikita Mazepin/Louis Delétraz claimed the top step on the podium at the 4 Hours of Dubai, the third race of five on the 2023/2024 Asian Le Mans Series calendar.

The #99 ORECA at the time driven by Al Harty and TF Sport's #90 ORECA delivered an intense duel right up to the first pit stop. The 99 Racing car continued to defend P1, even as Proton Competition's #22 ORECA driven by Julien Andlauer trailed by less than a second in the final hour. A perfectly orchestrated final refuelling and yet another flawless performance by Delétraz earned the Jordanian team the victory and increased its lead in the championship.

In LMP3, COOL Racing's #17 Ligier JS P320-Nissan entrusted to James Winslow/Alex Bukhanstov won the category with an eight-second advantage on CD Sport's #2 Ligier. High Class Racing's #20 Ligier rounded out the LMP3 podium. In the provisional championship standings, COOL Racing has snatched the top spot from CD Sport.

In GT, Pure Rxcing's #91 Porsche 911 GT3 R scored the win with only a 0.7-second lead on AlManar Racing by GetSpeed's #7 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO. AF Corse's #21 Ferrari 296 GT3 reached the third step on the category podium. This victory handed Pure Rxcing top billing in the championship standings over Sainteloc Racing (#42 Audi R8 LMS EVO 2).

The Asian Le Mans Series now heads to Abu Dhabi for the last two rounds of the season on 10-11 February.
