The Automobile Club de l’Ouest at the Paris Motor Show

The Automobile Club de l’Ouest will be present at the Paris Motor Show, which will take place between 1st and 16th October in the Parc des Expositions at the Porte de Versailles in Paris.

The club will fly the colours of endurance through the Le Mans 24 Hours and will also launch the collaborative project myACO, a digital community based on an innovative portal devoted to auto-mobility. The ACO will have a stand in Pavilion 1 where it will be able to meet the public and give them the opportunity to participate in the myACO project.

The Paris Motor Show  is an exceptional exhibition; it is the biggest in the world and attracts the most visitors after Tokyo and Frankfurt with a total of 1.2 million people in 2014. The show is held every two years and the 2016 event looks like being a spectacular and innovative one.

On a stand with a modern, sophisticated background on which the Porsche 919 Hybrid, winner of the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours will be displayed, the ACO will welcome visitors to the Mondial de l’Automobile de Paris to present its activities and launch myACo to the general public.

The ACO represents 110 years of sporting and associative life invested in racing and technical progress. It has a rich history and its contribution to the world of the motor car is widely acknowledged and extends to all aspects of mobility. The ACO club has more than 80 000 members united by their passion for sport and attached to the defence of their rights on the road on a daily basis. So it is now time to reinforce this associative adventure and widen its scope by creating the first centre of exchange based around the motor car and mobility.

my ACO is a digital community project aimed at all those who are interested in the motor car in all its forms and mobility in all its expressions. To keep up to date, find solutions, discover, share your experiences, your favourites and your close calls myACO opens up a new universe of communications, knowledge, services, mutual help and exchanges on auto-mobility. On this platform based around participation and collaboration you can find exclusive content, an active and involved community as well as good deals and privileged offers. The strength of this project resides in the involvement and participation of everybody to be a part of and to support the first digital community devoted to auto-mobility.

In the context of myACO, the ACO is organising Hackathons on its stand. These are challenges for the ‘grandes écoles,’ designers and start-ups in different sectors. Based on the principles of collaboration and openness they will provide a meeting place for creation, which will be open to the public. The key words are collaboration, curiosity, creativeness, open innovation, team dynamics and the birth of ideas. The public can come and see the projects of the students who have taken up the challenge of auto-mobility, from 10th to 14th October, by putting their names on www.challenge.lemans.org . They can also help them to improve their presentation every day by voting for the most unifying project.

By coming to discover myACO and the ACO’s activities on the stand, the public will be immersed in the heart of a unique experience, and they can leave with numerous souvenirs including a special photo in front of the Porsche 919 Hybrid plus presents thanks to the ACO’s Big Wheel. They will be able to win tickets for the 2017 Le Mans 24 Hours, membership of the Club ACO, subscriptions to the magazine Spirit of Le Mans and many other surprises.

Rendezvous from 1st to 16th October on the ACO stand at the Paris Motor Show!
